Super Bacteria Discovered in New England Hospital
Superbug or new super bacteria resistant to the strongest antibiotics have entered hospitals in England.
Health experts say the bacteria that makes an enzyme called NDM-1 had been re-enter through the patients in the various British hospitals had to go abroad to visit countries such as India and Pakistan for medical treatment such as cosmetic
surgery.
Although there are only about 50 cases identified in England so far, scientists fear the super bacteria
will spread throughout the world.
Strict control and new drugs against bacteria that is needed, according to the Lancet medical
journal.
NDM-one can live in diverse bacteria such as E.coli and the enzyme could make the bacteria-
bacteria that are immune to group the most powerful antibiotics, carbapenems.
This type of antibiotics usually used only for emergency situations and to eradicate hard to treat infections caused by drug resistant bacteria
other.
And experts fear NDM-one now would infect other types of bacteria that have developed
resistance to many types of antibiotics. In the end it may cause dangerous infections that can spread rapidly from one person to another that it's almost impossible to treat.
