The cause of the sinking of the Titanic The sinking of the Titanic is due to several reasons revealed by official investigations:
  • Ship officers do not receive warning messages sent to them, or officers ignore messages. 
  • The ship continued to sail at full speed even after warnings were sent, causing it to crash into the glacier. 
  • There were not enough lifeboats in the ship, and many lifeboats were launched without all the seats being exploited. 
  • The other ships in the vicinity were unable to reach the Titanic before it sank. 
  • There was a ship about 16 kilometers from the Titanic, but it did not respond because its radio was switched off in the evening. 
  • The use of low-quality screws in some parts of the ship, which led to the collapse and sinking quickly; according to a study published in 2008
